Janet Ryan

Janet Ryan, 75 of Littlestown, Pa passed away peacefully at home on Friday May 27, 2022 after a long battle with cancer.

Born May 30, 1946 in Weston, WV, she was the daughter of Thomas Martin Tawney and Rhoda Belle (Helmick) Tawney.

Janet was retired after a long career in finance with the Social Security Administration.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and playing the slots in her spare time.  She was devoted to her family and spending time with her husband, kids, grandkids & siblings were her favorite things to do.

She is survived by her husband of 55 loving years, Frank Ryan Jr, son, Steven Ryan & his wife, Mariette, daughter, Kathleen Herron & her husband Bruce, son, James Ryan & his wife Nichole, grandchildren, Stephanie Ryan, Tyler Ryan, Kaylin Ryan, Bryanna Herron, Alexis Ryan, & Matthew Ryan, great-grandchildren Noah & Hailey; siblings Louetta Neighoff, Thomas “Buddy” Tawney, Linda Phillips & Laurie Tawney as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her granddaughter Krista Herron.

The family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Homes at 8 East Ridgeville Blvd in Mt. Airy, MD at 1:00 on Saturday, June 4, 2022 with a celebration of her life at 2:00.  At the conclusion, family and friends will gather at her daughter, Kathleen’s house at 4005 Bill Moxley RD in Mt Airy, MD
