Janice M. Clemons

Janice May Clemons, 80, of Mount Airy, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.

Born on June 17, 1942, in Silver Spring, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Minnie E. (Queen) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Miles Clemons. 

Janice was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Sherri Shaw and Wendy Friend (Richard); grandchildren, Amber Deal (Richard), Abby Shaw, Max Friend, Nicholas Friend (Emily), and Christopher Chase; and great-grandchildren, Tony Deal, Mason Deal, Jake Deal, Lantz Shaw and Ava Shaw.

Janice was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Johnson, Jr. 

A celebration of Janice's life journey will take place at 12 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022 at Prospect United Methodist Church in Mt. Airy. Rev. You Jung Jung will officiate. Burial will be held at the adjoining church cemetery. 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Monday at the church.
