Janie Mae Denn

Janie Mae Denn, 84, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, April 8, 2023, in Frederick, MD.  She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas A. Denn, married for 60 years.
Born on February 21, 1939, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Austin Thomas Griffin and Helen Mae (Free) Griffin. 
Janie was a lifetime resident and native of Frederick.  She spent almost 30 years employed with Blue Cross & Blue Shield.  Janie began working at a young age, growing up on a dairy farm.  Following her retirement from BC/BS, she worked for over 20 years at Frederick Underwriters and BB&T.  She was always quick to help with an insurance claim and was always quick to make a friend in the process.
She is survived by Daughter, Lori Marhefke and her husband Adam.  She also leaves behind her grandson who was her heart, Eric T. Hoffarth.  Janie will be missed by many friends and community members.  She went out of her way to take a few minutes to check on familiar faces in Frederick on her weekly errands.  Her sense of humor and love for the land of Frederick will live on in beautiful memories.
