Jayne Patricia Cramer Richardson

Jayne Patricia Cramer Richardson, 68, of Walkersville, MD passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Edward Richardson. Jayne was born in London, England on June 8, 1958 and was the daughter of the late Robert John Cramer Sr. and Doreen Colleen Boyle Cramer formerly of Waterbury, Connecticut. She graduated from John F Kennedy High School in Waterbury, CT in 1977 and attended a flight attendant training program at Robert Morris College in Pittsburg, PA. Jayne worked in various supervisory customer service roles during her career, was a lifetime Girl Scout member, and volunteered with many school, sports, band, and other community groups throughout her life.

Jayne is survived by her children, Kimberly Brockey of Walkersville, MD, Christopher and wife Rebecca Richardson of Hagerstown, MD, Amanda and husband Bobby Drake of Smithsburg, MD, and Andrew and wife Jen Richardson of Greencastle, PA. Mrs. Richardson was also survived by her grandchildren, Zachary and Karlie Brockey of Walkersville, MD, Cailyn, Emery, and Alesana Richardson of Hagerstown, MD, Jocelyn and Layla Hersom and step-grandchildren Emma and Evan Drake of Smithsburg, MD, Ian Richardson of Greencastle, PA, and step-grandchild Jayma and husband James Helmick and their daughter Jolene of Springfield, WV. She is also survived by her brother Robert John Cramer Jr. of Bristol, CT, half-sisters June and husband Paul Bewers of Essex, England and Susan and husband David Russell of Northampton, England, and preceded in death by her half-brother Allen and wife Francis Cramer of Kent, England. She also leaves behind several cousins, nieces, nephews, a decades long group of close friends and her cats.

Jayne was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her - a true social butterfly whose warmth, laughter, and kindness brought people together. Her greatest joy was her family, and her love will continue to shine through all who were blessed to know her.

Jayne’s celebration of life will be at 2PM on Wednesday, June 17,2026, and the family will receive friends from 1PM-2PM preceding the ceremony at Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville, MD. 21793. In honor of Mom’s vibrant spirit, we ask that guests wear bright colors, sundresses, floral prints, and cheerful attire rather than traditional black. Let’s fill the room with the colors and joy that she brought into our lives. Internment will occur during a private family ceremony at Glade Cemetery in Walkersville, MD at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Jayne Richardson to Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
