Jeffrey John Reese

Jeffrey John Reese, 60, of Frederick, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Born on June 27, 1965, in Dewitt, NY, he was the son of the late John Calvin Reese and Marion Alice Moss Reese.

Jeff was a 1983 graduate of Robert E. Peary High School in Rockville. He then entered the US Army shortly after graduation, and served as an artillery supervisor. He was honorably discharged from active duty in 1986, and served in the National Guard Infantry until 1989.

He worked in the electronic security field for many years, most recently for Structure Works.

Jeff had a love for motorcycles and could often be found riding through the Brunswick and Jefferson areas he cared so deeply about. He was always eager to give back to his community, volunteering his time and coaching youth football in Brunswick, where he enjoyed encouraging and mentoring young players. But more than anything, Jeff’s greatest joy was being a grandfather. His grandchildren were the center of his world, and the love he had for them was evident in everything he did. He will be deeply missed by his many friends and all who knew him.

He is survived by his children: Cindy Hargett (Cory), Kevin Reese (Skylar), Brian Reese; His grandchildren Tucker Hargett, Blake Hargett, Liam Reese, Savannah Reese and Wrenley Reese; and his former wife, Debbie Reese; His siblings: Linda Harper (Roscoe), Sharon Brashier (David) and Donna Reese. He will also be survived by his close and special friend Pamela Sieber. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Michael Reese and a sister, Regina Reese.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 12, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where a memorial service will take place at 5:30 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.
