He leaves behind his beloved siblings Kevin Michael Snoots and wife, Karen of Hagerstown, MD, Gregory Allen Snoots and wife, Robin of Brunswick, MD, sister Tiffani Moore Simons and husband, Jeff of Knoxville, MD; his four nephews Corey Michael Snoots of Brunswick, MD, Tyler Daniel Snoots and wife, Megan of Frederick, MD, Ryan Patrick Simons and wife, Kendall of Leonardtown, MD, and Brady Allen Snoots and wife, Taylor of Thurmont, MD; his three great-nephews Kai and Koa Snoots of Frederick, MD, and Coltyn Simons and great-niece Aubrey Simons of Leonardtown, MD; his aunt Gloria J. Crowl and uncle Denny E. Moore and wife Gloria; numerous cousins and special friends, Diane Alger, Joyce and Ronnie Weddle, Jeff Reynolds, Sheree Stevens, and Brandon Fauble; and his special little dog Jerzee, who he loved from the bottom of his heart. He was preceded in death by several beloved family members, including his sister, Tracey Snoots-Darr, maternal grandparents, Fred Allen Moore and Anna Lee Moore Kidwiler, paternal grandparents, Darroll and Dorothy Snoots, aunt Carol Brown and uncles Fred A. Moore and Alan R. Crowl, and cousins Dana Moore Hawes and Robert S. Crowl.
In addition to being a devoted son, Jeffrey took great pride in his career running the Operating Room at Meritus Health for over 20 years before accepting his final challenge leading the amazing team at WVU Rockefeller Neuro Institute and Pain Management as Supervisor. He also served 2016-2020 as the Mayor of Brunswick. Prior to that he had been elected as a Council Member in 1987 and again from 2012-2016. During his time in office he tackled large projects such as renovating the Sports Complex on 13th Avenue, planning the new City operations building at 811 West Potomac Street and upgrading the Yourtee Springs facility in Southern Washington County. He approached his work with determination, integrity, and genuine desire to help others.
Outside of his career, Jeffrey found joy in simple things that made life special. He was a devoted Baltimore Orioles and Washington Redskins fan and loved cheering on his favorite teams. His special love for Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Snoopy, the beach and his swimming pool were just a few of his favorite things that brought a smile to his face. He leaves behind a lifetime of love, memories and moments that will forever be cherished by those who knew him. His family meant everything to him, and he took great pride in the lives of those he loved. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his attitude, sense of humor and the way he could always bring a smile to those around him. Saying goodbye to someone whose warmth, love, and presence touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know them is never easy. While we wish we had more time, we will forever be grateful for every moment we were given with him. His stories, his laughter, his love and even the little things that made him who he was will remain with us forever.
