John Brewer

John Francis Brewer, 85, of Braddock Heights died on Friday December 14, 2012. He was the husband of the late Barbara Huff Brewer who died on March 8, 2003.

Born on October 1, 1927 in West Orange, NJ he was the son of the late Allen F. and Ayame Brewer.

John served in the U. S. Navy during  WWII. He was a graduate of University of Kentucky. He worked for the U. S. Postal Service and was a Microbiologist at Ft. Detrick, Frederick.  He was a member of the Lions Club, American Legion Funkstown and the V.F. W. Frederick. He was of the Episcopalian faith.

Surviving are his children, John F. Brewer Jr., Theodore K. Brewer, Douglas S. Brewer and Thomas G. Brewer. Granddaughter Stanzi Brewer Sanchez and Great Grandson Damion Sanchez. He was preceded in death by a son James K. Brewer.

Services and interment will be private.
