John Edward Brubaker

John Edward Brubaker, 78, of Fairplay, Maryland, passed from this life on Friday, November 28, 2025 at Meritus Health Care Center in Hagerstown, MD.

Born on August 31, 1947, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Monroe and Thelma (Grams) Brubaker.

John was a 1965 graduate of Brunswick High School. He worked for the Federal Government at NIH prior to his retirement. John was currently living in Fairplay, MD with his precious dog Dexter.

He is survived by sisters, Doreen Forrest of Frederick, MD, Susan Brubaker of Sharpsburg and Gloria Jean Wolfe and husband Brad of Parksley, VA; several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his special friend Linda Eisenstadt.

He was preceded in death by his sister JoAnn White, two brothers-in-law and special friend Ronnie Gifford. 

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Park Heights Cemetery in Brunswick, MD.

A celebration of John's life journey will take place at a later date.
