John Crowther Weaver, III, 78, originally from Paramus New Jersey, currently living in Frederick MD, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Frederick Health Hospital.
Born on September 4, 1947, in Hackensack, NJ, he was the son of the late John Crowther, Jr. and Evelyn Marie Dougherty Weaver. He was the husband of Andrea Mary Weaver, his wife of 53years.
John, known to all that loved him as “Jack”, was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard serving as a Sergeant and was honorably discharged in 1981. Jack was passionate about U.S. and World History, and he continued his lifelong career as an Educator in the Paramus public school system from 1971-2009 in the subjects of History, English, and Sociology. Jack was passionate about coaching and showed this through his time coaching, football, baseball, girls softball, girls tennis, and girls basketball at Paramus High School, Westbrook Middle School, and Emerson High School. He furthered his coaching experience as the Assistant Softball Coach at William Patterson University. During his time coaching high school, he also was the head of the Softball Reactional League in Ringwood NJ for a number of years in addition to coaching youth softball for this league. He loved spending time with his family, attending his grandsons’ sporting games, sharing his love of Lional Trains with all, and loved working in his yard. Jack was an avid supporter of West Point for over 40 years and rarely missed a football game, sharing his passion for the Black Knights with both his family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his son John Crowther Weaver IV his wife Jennifer Carey Weaver and son Grayson Daniel Weaver. Daughter Kristen Elena Luckel and her husband Douglas Lawrence Luckel and sons Alexander William Luckel, Caleb Mason Luckel and Jackson Douglas Luckel. Siblings, Carol Marie Weaver, Daniel Arthur Weaver, Thomas Richard Weaver, and Peter Willard Weaver.
The first service and Celebration of Life will be held at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick, MD and the second service at Christ Lutheran Church in Paramus, NJ followed with a Celebration of Life at Biagio’s. Both events will be held at a later date. Please continue to check website for details.
