Joseph Edgar (Joe) Clipp

Joseph Edgar (Joe) Clipp, 88, of Keedysville, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland. He was the beloved husband of the late Vivian Clipp for 63 years.

Born on June 19, 1937, in Bakersville, Maryland, he was the son of the late Merle Leslie and Ivy Mae (Pike) Clipp.

Joe had been a longtime member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Keedysville, MD and previously served as church Treasurer, Sunday School teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Council Member, & Choir Member .He graduated from Boonsboro High School in 1955. He was previously employed by M.P.Moller Pipe Organ Company and was owner of Trivo Co Inc. He was an avid baseball & softball player in his younger years.

He is survived by sons, Lyndell (Fonda), Brent (Peggy), Galen (Sandra), Dolan (Salli), grandchildren; Lindsey Clipp, Megan Clipp, Heather Shockley (John), Amy Clipp, Matthew Clipp, step grandson; Donovan Harbaugh (Morgan); great-grandchildren, Peyton Virts, Sydnee Clipp, Noah Shockley and step great-grandchildren Ryker and Reagan Harbaugh. He is survived by a sister Linda Ridenour and her husband, Marvin, sister in laws; Irene Palmer and Beverly Patterson, and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 am on Monday, September 29, 2025, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 53 North Main Street in Keedysville, Maryland where a celebration of Joe's life journey will take place at 11 am. Rev. Regina Beard will officiate assisted by Rev. Eric Moser and Pastor Mark Reno. Interment will be at Boonsboro Cemetery in Boonsboro, Maryland.
