Born on June 5, 1947, in Martinez, California, Joseph was the son of the late William Francis Hill and Georgia Mae Hill. He lived a full and dedicated life marked by service, love for his family, and deep ties to his community.
Joseph proudly served his country in the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart, a testament to his bravery and sacrifice. Following his military service, he built a life grounded in hard work, resilience, and commitment to those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine Hill; his son, Eric Hill; and his grandson, Ronan McCoy.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Victoria Hill, who was truly the love of his life. Together, they built a wonderful life in Mount Airy, where Joseph was an active and valued member of the community. Their partnership was filled with love, dedication, and shared memories that will be cherished always.
In addition to his wife, Victoria, he is also survived by his children, Kristin Farhat and Billy Nichols; his stepchildren (who he raised as his own) Rachael Kent, Dylan McCoy, and Lauren Strazisar; and his many grandchildren, William Evans, Colin, Isla and Jasper Kent, Lucas and Dylan McCoy, Weston and Finley Strazisar, Clayton, Brandon and Amelia Nichols.

He will be remembered for his strength, his devotion to family, and the life he built alongside those closest to him. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and the family he loved so deeply.
