With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joe Swann, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, at the age of 80.
Joe was the devoted husband of Linda Swann and a proud father to his son JJ and JJ’s wife, Shanda. He was a loving and doting grandfather to McKayla, Konner, and Anna, whose lives he filled with laughter, stories, and unconditional love. He is also survived by his brother Tommy and sister Suzanne, who will forever cherish his memory.
A talented carpenter by trade, Joe took great pride in his work and was known for his strong hands, keen eye, and dependable spirit. Whether he was building something from scratch or lending a hand to a friend or neighbor, he brought care and craftsmanship to everything he did.
Joe loved the outdoors—especially fishing and hunting—and was happiest when surrounded by people. He never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. Sitting down to eat crabs with family and friends was one of his favorite pastimes, often turning an ordinary afternoon into a cherished memory.
He had lifelong friendships with Dave Hitchins and Bob Clingan, both of whom shared many of life’s best moments with him. Joe treasured the time they spent together and the deep bond they formed over the years.
Joe will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and generous heart. His legacy lives on in the stories, memories, and love he leaves behind.
