Joyce Ann Korrell

Joyce Ann Phelps Korrell, 84, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away at home to be with the Lord on February 01, 2026.

Joyce was born on July 30, 1941, in Myersville, Maryland, to the late Olive and Jeanette Phelps. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Phelps.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Ronald Korrell; her children, Audie Korrell and his wife Debbie, Randall Korrell and his wife Patricia, Timothy Korrell, Sharon Kemlage and her husband Phillip. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Jason Korrell, Jennifer Wineberg, Kristina Trice and Guy Kemlage, Brian Kemlage, Tristan Cates, Carley Trice, Jasper Kemlage, and Alexander Kemlage.

Joyce is survived by her sister, Janice Knight; brothers, Jerry Phelps and Jon Phelps and his wife Janie; and her sister-in-law, Trish Phelps.

Joyce was a dedicated homemaker and, besides spending time with her family and friends, she also enjoyed watching hummingbirds feed at the feeder and flowers blooming in her flower bed. Joyce had a passion for cooking, reading romance novels, and attending Edgewood Church of God. Joyce had a bright, energetic personality and was known for her ability to sense when people needed her help. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.

The family would like to thank Hospice for its support over the last month and a half.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Joyce touched are invited to the Edgewood Church of God, 8204 Edgewood Church Rd, Frederick, MD 21702 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, February 7, 2026 with services to begin at 12 noon. Pastor John Culbertson will officiate.

Interment will follow in Rocky Springs Cemetery.
