Juliana M. Brown

Juliana Marie Brown, 75, (Lagana, Pilka) passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Juliana was living with her daughter, Stephanie, and her wife, Candi, with her three grandchildren in Thurmont at the time of her passing.

Juliana, a registered nurse for 30+ years, served patients in multiple settings but strived serving elderly patients at nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Juliana held many certificates for nursing with her crowning achievement being a Master of Science in Nursing she received from the University of Phoenix.

She was twice married to Norman Lagana and James Brown, both deceased. She is survived by her four children; Joesph Lagana, Anthony Lagana, Stephanie Lagana and Christine Lagana; and three grandchildren, Isabella, Carissa, and Mia. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to an organization that advances Parkinson's research.
