Julius Snowden

June 3, 1935 — June 27, 2022

Julius Evan Snowden, 87, of Frederick, MD passed away on June 27, 2022, at hospice in Mount Airy, MD.

Born June 3, 1935, to parents Reginald Snowden, Sr., and Florence Snowden.

He retired from the city of Frederick and was an avid member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Frederick, MD.  Julius enjoyed spending time with friends and family and walking the streets of downtown Frederick. He especially looked forward to time spent with his buddies, Eager Young, Ernie Spriggs and very dear friend, Buddy Hill for many great years of service as his Barber and very special friends, Phillip Thomas, Jr., and Leon Tyler.

He leaves to cherish his memory his twin sister, June E. Snowden of New Market, MD; his niece, Terri Snowden; nephews, Randy Snowden, Brett Snowden and Kenneth Snowden, Sr.  He is also survived by a host of great nieces and nephews and his very special friend, Ola Thompson of Frederick, MD.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at First Missionary Baptist Church, 6430 Jefferson Pike in Frederick, MD.  A celebration of Julius's life will follow at 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Simpson Cemetery in  New Market, MD.
