Karen Jo Warren

Our beloved Karen Jo Warren, 87, of Mount Airy, Maryland, passed away on November 14th, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving husband and family as she peacefully and joyfully went home to be with her Savior.

Karen was born on March 30, 1938 to John and Minnie West in Nekoma, Kansas. While attending Kansas State University she met the love of her life, Sam Warren. Sam and Karen wed on August 24, 1957. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Sam, three of her four children, Lori, Linda and Glen, and many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Karen was predeceased by her son, Kenny, in 2023.

Karen’s life was marked by faithful service and love toward her husband, family and others. She was always a joy to be with: kind, accepting, grateful, gentle, hardworking, and loving. While actively and wholeheartedly caring for others was a focus for Karen, she also loved reading, singing hymns, holding babies, the fudge that Sam made at Christmas, beautiful flowers, watching the hummingbirds that came to her feeders, Kansas wheat fields and Jesus.

The viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 10:00 am, at Mount Airy Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 11 am. The reception, following the service, will be for family. Burial and reception details will be announced at the service.
