Kaye Beth Coffman, 91, of Frederick, Maryland, daughter of Clara Belle and Walter Vinson Ogan passed away the morning of January 12, 2026. Born in Hutchinson, Kansas on November 11, 1934, she was a devoted wife to John William Coffman (deceased) for 67 years. Kaye was an avid gardener, cook, photographer, knitter, and quilter. She also enjoyed reading murder mysteries and researching US history. Together with John, she traveled throughout the US, visiting many National Parks and battlefields. She loved the southwest and they lived in Albuquerque for many years during retirement.
Kaye is survived by her sister, Leihl Densmore, 89 of Littleton, Colorado; her three daughters, Margaret Coffman of Greensboro, North Carolina, Mary Coffman-Burke of Spotsylvania, Virginia, and Karen Coffman of Frederick, Maryland; four grandchildren Christina Petersen, Michelle Petersen, Benjamin Burke, and Rebekah Burke; and four great-grandchildren Sofia Boswell, Naomi Boswell, Natalie Boswell, and Finnian Boswell.
Kaye was cremated in a private service on January 15 at Stauffer Funeral Home in Frederick and will be buried with her beloved John at Fairlawn Burial Park in Hutchinson, Kansas at a later date. Kaye is much loved and will be greatly missed. She supported the Salvation Army and donations in her memory will be appreciated.
