Kimberly Ann Krietz

Kimberly Ann Krietz, 65, passed away surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer over the last 3 years. She was a truly incredible woman whose kindness, talent, and unwavering love for her family touched the lives of so many. She was a beloved wife, mother, mother in law, Nana, daughter, sister, mentor, and friend. Her impact on those around her will never be forgotten.

Kim was the loving wife of Charles Krietz Jr (Charlie) for 47 years. Together, they founded Krietz Auto Repair and Sales in 1983 and have enjoyed growing the business with their two sons by their side. The later addition of the Krietz Customs brand was something Kim was especially proud of.

Charlie and Kim built a life and a family filled with love, memories, hard work, and laughter. She was a devoted mother to her sons, Charles and his wife Laura, and Cory and his wife Whitney. But perhaps her favorite role of all was being “Nana” to her grandchildren, Ethan, Brynlee, Emma, and Blakely.

Her grandchildren were her world. She loved watching them grow, cheering them on in everything they were involved in, and being present for all of their accomplishments. She never wanted to miss a show, game, or event. And she loved the moments that happened in between just as much. Even in her final days she enjoyed watching her grandchildren play on the farm through the window. Those memories, filled with laughter and love, will forever be treasured by her family.

Kim had a special gift for mentorship, guiding, and teaching others. She was someone people could turn to for advice, encouragement, and direction. She had a way of helping others see their potential and giving them the confidence to move forward. Her wisdom and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on countless people.

She was also deeply loved by her parents, Ed and Belva Mercer; her sister Shelly and her husband Jay; her brother Keith and his wife Kim; and her many nieces and nephews. She considered her Krietz Auto family a special and important part of her life. The relationships she built with those around her meant more to her than words could express.

Kim’s greatest gift was her heart. She loved deeply, gave generously, and always put the people she cared about first. She made an impact on so many lives simply by being kind, caring, talented, strong, and always willing to help.

While her family and friends are heartbroken by her passing, they can find comfort in knowing that her love, lessons, laughter, and memories will continue through everyone she touched.

Kim leaves behind a legacy of love that will carry on through her husband, children, grandchildren, family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

She was an incredible woman, a loving wife, a devoted mother, a proud Nana, and a friend to many. She will be missed beyond words and loved for a lifetime.

Her greatest legacy is not what she accomplished, but the lives she changed and the love she left behind.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the ABC Junior Fund, 400 N. East Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The family will use the donations to help support and provide for the youth of Frederick County at the Great Frederick Fair.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 14 from the funeral home chapel with the family receiving friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
