Kimberly Mae Nelson

Kimberly Mae Nelson, 64, of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, passed from this life on Monday, June 19, 2023 at in Shippensburg, PA.

Born on March 26, 1959, in Sutton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert Franklin Gillespie and Mallie (Clutter) Gillespie.

She attended Francis Scott Key High School.

Kimberly as a teenager worked as a CNA, and most recently as a medication technician.

She enjoyed collecting antiques and jewelry, interior design and gardening.

She married her loving husband Joseph Nelson on November 22, 1976, where they were surrounded by friends from Middleburg, MD.

She is survived by her children; Joseph Edward Nelson II and his partner Randy Lee Holtry, of Shippensburg, PA, and Tiffany Kristin Shelton and her spouse Robert Lee Shelton of Vacaville, CA. Grandchildren; Brook Mackenzie Nelson, Hannah Ralston Nelson, Luca Joel Nelson, Isaiah Joseph Shelton, and Chase Dakota Nelson. Siblings; Frankie Gillespie, Perry Gillespie, Garry Gillespie, and Tammy Hipkins. A special thanks to "Aunt" Judy, a childhood friend and confidant, Debbie Myers, Randy Holtry, and Heartland Hospice of Chambersburg, PA, for all you did to accommodate mom's need and care. Thank you all, you are very near and dear to our hearts.
