Kirk Boucher

Kirk Boucher, 77, of Jefferson, Maryland, born on April 19, 1948, passed from this life on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Frederick Health Hospital in Frederick, MD.

Kirk graduated from Laurel High School in 1966. In his early years, Kirk was a heavy machinery operator in the construction field. He went on to become an electrician for Amtrak at Union Station in Washington DC until he retired in 2012.

Kirk attended St. John’s Lutheran Church in Harper’s Ferry, WV. He was a member of the Jefferson Ruritan Club for many years. His favorite time of year was the end of July when he would spend the week of the carnival volunteering at the food pavilion. He had many great memories spent with friends over the years prepping and serving food all week at the Jefferson Carnival.

Kirk, also known as Pop to friends of his grandchildren, could be found at soccer games or in the stands of any sporting event, supporting his grandchildren and their friends. His greatest joy was talking about his grandchildren to anyone who would listen.

He is survived by his daughter, Denise Watkins and her husband, Chris (Ashland, VA); his son, Matt Boucher and his wife, Rachel (Arlington, VA); and grandchildren, Mackenzie Watkins (Cincinnati, OH), Jacob Watkins (Madrid, Spain), Maya Boucher and Josh Boucher (Arlington, VA). He is also survived by his sister, Rhoda Fawcett and her husband Bruce; and many additional family members. He will be missed by close friends, Eric and Heather Campbell who were a constant source of love and support.

He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Debbie. He missed her terribly these past 15 months and was ready to be with her again.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Friday, April 10, 2026 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Brunswick), located at 1100 North Maple Avenue in Brunswick, MD.

A celebration of Kirk's life journey will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Brunswick). The Honorable Reverend John Unger will officiate.

Memorial donations may be made to Frederick Health Hospice or St. John Lutheran Church in Harpers Ferry, WV .
