Krista L. McGee

Krista L. McGee, 57, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Frederick Health Hospital in Frederick, MD. She is survived by her husband Michael Ray McGee.

Born on February 27, 1968, in Cumberland, MD, she was the daughter of Kenneth Grandstaff and his wife, Christi, of Thurmont, MD, and Sara Lynn (Snelson) Brahm of Belmont, North Carolina.

Krista lived a life marked by warmth, generosity, and an open heart that made everyone around her feel welcome. She had a natural way of making people feel seen and cared for, and she would do anything for the people she loved. A graduate of Catoctin High School and later Frederick Community College, Krista spent many years working as an administrative assistant, where she was appreciated not only for her professionalism, but for the kindness and light she brought into every room.

Outside of work, she found her greatest joy in being with her children, cheering them on at ball games, and sharing laughter with friends. She loved watching hummingbirds, and she especially cherished her time working alongside teachers and students at FCPS. Those who knew Krista will remember her sharp wit, her sense of humor, and her ability to brighten any gathering simply by being there. Most of all, she will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, a love that was steady, generous, and without condition.

In addition to her husband Michael McGee and parents, she is survived by her two beloved children, Michael Ray McGee, Jr., and Abby Lynn McGee, her brother, Dennis Grandstaff and his wife, Sarah.

A celebration of Krista's life journey will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD. Interment will be private.
