Kuo-Shu Edward Chang

Kuo-Shu Edward Chang, 44 of New Market, formerly of North Carolina passed away on Monday, January 1, 2007 at Johns Hopkins after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Chang-Hwa Ho.

Born January 3, 1962 in Taipei, Taiwan he was the son of David Hsiang Chang and Shu-Liang F. Chang of Frederick.

He was a Sr. Research Scientist for Associated Hygenic Products.

He was a very kind and compassionate person with great integrity. He loved fishing photography, traveling and good food. He loved all children. Mr. Chang was a devoted Christian.

Mr. Chang received his undergraduate at The University of Pennsylvania where he earned a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree. He then attended Cornell University where he received a Master of Science degree and his PhD in Chemical Engineering. He acquired his M.B.A. from Emory.

While at Cornell University he was president of the Chinese Student Organization. He was also a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by two children, Austin and Audrey Chang, two sisters, Eve Chang and husband Bob Chigi of New Jersey and Ellen Chang and husband Guy Zaybekian of New Market, two nephews, Ryan Zaybekian and Travis Chigi and two nieces, Jackie Zaybekian and Ashleigh Chigi.


Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Friday, January 5, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.

Services: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2006 at 11:30 AM at All Saints Episcopal Church, 108 West Church Street, Frederick with Rev. Philip Wiehe officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Olivet.

Memorial contribution s may be expressed in Mr. Chang's name to the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, One Charles Center, 100 North Charles Street, Suite 234. Baltimore, MD 21201.
