Lawrence (Larry) W. Tressler, 87 of Frederick, MD passed away on Saturday, April 04, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 18, 1938 in Thurmont, MD. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Shirley Keilholtz Tressler. He was the son of the late Charles and Ella Tressler.

Larry is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Brittingham and husband, C.H.; sons, Lawrence Tressler, II and wife Pam, David Tressler and Bryan Tressler; nine grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob, Derek and wife Nicole, Kayla, Charles, Dylan and wife Lisa, Jenna, Kyle and Paige; six great grandchildren Elyas, Theodore, Coast, Aviana, Sylas, Dawson and expecting a seventh, Sierra. He is also survived by his sister, Jean Zentz and her husband Chester and many nieces and nephews.

Larry graduated from Thurmont High School, 1956 as Class President and then attended University of MD. He worked as a Comptroller of several car dealerships; Capital Cadillac, Moore Cadillac and Fitzgerald Motors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman enjoying hunting trips to Maine and Wyoming and was a member of the Urbana Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He coached his sons in baseball, played on a men’s softball team and enjoyed storytelling, teasing and laughter. His retirement years were spent traveling, vacationing and enjoying family time with his wife, children and grandchildren (known as Pop Pop). His presence was a constant in our lives; he never missed an opportunity to be there for his children and grandchildren, celebrating every moment big or small.

A private interment will be at Graceham Moravian Church Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
