Lee Ziegler

Lee Allen Ziegler (73) passed peacefully at his home on July 5, 2022, in the compassionate care of Frederick Health Hospice after recently having been diagnosed with lung cancer.  Lee is survived by daughter Beth Downin (George) of Sharpsburg and daughter Lisa Haskins (Mike) of New Market, along with four well-loved grandchildren, Sylvie & Sarah Grace Downin and Ella & Tate Haskins.

Lee was born in Baltimore, the only son of the late Ann & Leo Ziegler.  He worked as a tool and die man primarily, but dabbled in many things to occupy his time.  Most recently, he enjoyed photographing the natural world and taking free online college courses in the sciences.

Stauffer Funeral Homes is handling private arrangements for the family, who requests that you consider a contribution to your local hospice in lieu of flowers.
