Leonila Acal

Leonila Macapagal Acal, 85 of Frederick, Maryland, passed away on November 12, 2021 peacefully at Kline Hospice House in Mount Airy. She is the beloved wife of Narciso Acal.

Born on January 17, 1936 in the Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Anton and Apolonia (Tagle) Macapagal. Leonila graduated high school and continued on to obtain her Bachelors degree. She worked in the banking industry.

She is survived by her children, Nicolas Acal and wife Amy and Leila Stephenson and husband Michael; grandchildren Justin and Jillian Acal and Natalie and Nathan Stephenson, as well as two brothers Fruto and Leuterio Macapagal.

The family will receive friends from 3-6pm on Wednesday, November 17th at Stauffer Funeral  Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD.  A Catholic Funeral Service will be held at 1:30pm on Thursday, November 18th at the funeral home. Deacon John Manley will preside.
