Lillian May Foucart, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024, at the age of 94. Born on January 21, 1930, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania to Albert H. Fluman and Nellie Moore Fluman, Lillian dedicated her life to her family, church, and creating art.
Lillian retired from the Williamsport Area School District as an elementary art educator after a long and fruitful career. Her passion for art continued even beyond retirement, as she took classes and pursued her artistic interests. In addition to her love of art, Lillian enjoyed reading and writing poetry, expressing herself through words and images alike. She also created beautiful quilts for both her family and the annual Fluman Family Reunion, showcasing her talent and creativity in various forms throughout her life.
A devoted member of both St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Walkersville, Maryland, Lillian lived a life grounded in faith and community.
Lillian was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Spencer Foucart, as well as their son Mark L. Foucart. She is survived by her children: Valerie L. Foucart (J.Scott Geare); Brian Foucart (Julia McClung); Lisa M. Foucart (Alex Mitchell); and daughter-in-law Candace Foucart.
She is also survived by a large extended family that includes grandchildren: Katie Walker (Joe); Lauren McCloskey (Lee); John Ward (Jennie Weyman); Kayla Bell (Derick); Rachel Jennings (James); and J. Spencer Foucart; as well as 14 beloved great-grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Lillian touched the hearts of many with her kindness, creativity, and unwavering faith. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her as they carry on her love for art, family, and faith.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 30, at Wildwood Cemetery Chapel, 1151 Cemetery St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
