Linda D’Antonio Blair, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, left this world on June 1, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on April 8, 1952, in Linthicum, Maryland, Linda was the beloved daughter of Nicolas and Shirley D’Antonio. She was preceded in death by her father, Nicolas, but leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Linda was the beloved wife of Tom Blair, with whom she shared a deeply loving and fulfilling marriage for nearly 52 years. Together, they built a home filled with love and laughter, raising two fine sons, Elliot and Colin Blair. Linda was immensely proud of her family, including her daughters-in-law, Rachel Cajigas and Shirley Wong, and her treasured grandchildren, Gael and Gabriella Blair.
A dedicated educator, Linda spent 35 years nurturing young minds as a Special Education Teacher and department chair at Thomas Johnson High School. Her compassion and dedication to her students were unparalleled, earning her the admiration and respect of both her peers and the countless students she guided. Linda's passion for learning was evident in her own educational journey; she graduated from Andover High School in 1970, earned a BA in Psychology from Frostburg University, and an MA in Special Education from Hood College. Linda's warmth and vivacity were evident in her everyday interactions. Known for her radiant smile and infectious laughter, she brightened every room she entered. Her friends and family will fondly remember her as a thoughtful and caring soul, ever ready to lend a sympathetic ear or a helping hand. In her leisure time, Linda was an avid reader with a thirst for knowledge and a love for stories. She also enjoyed traveling, exploring new places and cultures with her family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.
Linda is survived by her her mother, Shirley her devoted husband, Tom, her sons, Elliot and Colin, her daughters-in-law, Rachel and Shirley, her adored grandchildren, Gael and Gabriella, her sister, Jackie Groh, her brother, Nick D’Antonio, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who held a special place in her heart. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Citizen’s Care and Rehabilitation for the loving care they provided during Linda's final months. In lieu of flowers, they request that donations be made to the Frederick Literacy Council, embodying Linda's lifelong commitment to education and literacy.
A gathering for friends and family will hosted later this summer. Linda D’Antonio Blair's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and education. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
