Linda Jean (Rust) Fish, beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother, 79, of Frederick, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on Monday, February 2, 2026 at home. Born on October 6, 1946, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Levi Oscar Rust, Jr. and Elinor Larue (Carrington) Rust.

Her optimism, relentless fortitude, belief in the innate goodness of people, thoughtfulness, and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.

Ms. Fish is survived by her children, Melvin L. Fish, Jr., Deborah J. Tyler (Michael), Judith A. Maben (Mark) and Denise A. Coffey, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She is also survived by her siblings, Diane L. Rust and Patricia A. (Rust) Dean.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jerome Dean.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 6, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where a service will be held at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
