Linda Loudena Richards, 80, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. She was the beloved wife of Robert Richards for 51 years.
Born on July 23, 1945, in Decater, IL, she was the daughter of the late Edward Joseph and Virginia Burke (McPhail) Maloney.
A graduate of Oak Ridge High School in Orlando, Florida, class of 1963, Linda embarked on a diverse career path that began with her first job at Disney World. She later worked at Uncle Ralph's Cookies. Her journey continued with jobs at Leggett and Canam Steel, but she will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, roles she cherished above all else during her lifetime.
Linda filled her life with joy through her hobbies, which included collecting dolls, antiquing, and traveling. She created cherished memories with her best friend, Connie Haines, and delighted in the time spent with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children: Tammy Lee, Michelle Shoemaker, Jim Richards, Ryan Richards and David Richards. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren: Amanda Shook, Tyler Beall, Shelby Barton, Spencer Lee, Kathryn Dock, Mallory Shoemaker, Margaret Shoemaker Kayla Richards, and Alex Richards. Linda's family circle extends further to include her great-grandchildren: Caden Shook, Everly Shook, Lillian Shook, Eleanor Beall, Anora Beall, Orson Beall, Zane Barton, and Jayden Lee. She will also be remembered by her best friend Connie Haines.
