Linda Laverne Scribner

Linda Laverne Scribner was born on June 13, 1952, in Manhattan, New York, and transitioned peacefully on August 12, 2026, surrounded by her four loving daughters in Frederick, Maryland.

Linda was a woman of remarkable strength, faith, and perseverance whose life left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. She was an evangelist who traveled the world sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and had a deep passion for outreach and reaching others for Christ. She was instrumental in leading her family to Christ and planting seeds of faith that continue through generations. Her first sermon, fittingly titled "Boldness," reflected a quality she carried throughout her life and passed down to her children.

Linda was an avid reader, enjoyed writing poetry, and cherished time spent with her family. Her children learned to read through the Bible, and her faith remained an important part of the legacy she leaves behind.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and countless friends whose lives were touched by her strength, kindness, faith, and unwavering spirit.

Linda’s life was one of faith, love, service, and devotion to Jesus Christ, and her legacy will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.

Graveside services will begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 515 S. Market Street, Frederick. Those attending should assemble by 12:50 p.m. at the FSK Chapel at the cemetery to process to the gravesite.
