Lorraine Watson

Lorraine Ellen Watson, 73, of Thurmont, Maryland, went home to be with her Heavenly Father suddenly at home on Thursday, July 29, 2021.

Lorraine was born on January 26, 1948, in Williamson, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charley Andrew Gannon and Mary Elizabeth (Mahon) Gannon.

Lorraine was an amazing christian lady that became a hard working member of the Catoctin United Methodist Church on December 12, 1999.

Lorraine worked for Kappie Originals and the Mountain Gate Plaza in Thurmont for many years.

She had a fondness for finding a bargain at yard sales, puzzles, fishing, TV crime shows, game shows, FB, telephone calls from her friends, family and church family, shopping, and spending time with her daughter, Michelle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, David Lawrence Dearfield, second husband, Michael Lee Watson; son, David "Davey" Lawrence Dearfield, Jr.; brother, Perry "PA" Gannon; and brother-in-law, Terry Mullin.

She leaves behind her loving sons, Donald and Dean Dearfield, both of Tennessee; Michelle Watson of Thurmont; sisters, Shirley Mullins of Tennessee, Leaetta Layne (Dave) of Ohio; and brother, Bill Gannon of Ohio. Lorraine was a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, and a praying momma loved by all that ever met her.

In addition to her family she leaves behind her bird, Stormie; and good friends Bill and Marty Hurt, Wanda and Eddie Frye, and many other loved ones, including her family at Frederick Davita Dialysis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Catoctin UMC, 7009 Kelly Store Road, Thurmont, MD 21788.
