Mr. Sidney H. Boyd Lt. Col. Ret., 77, of Frederick, died on Sunday September 19, 2010 at Golden Living Nursing Home, Frederick. He was the husband of the late Roberta J. Boyd who died in 2005.
Born on November 20, 1932 in Las Cruses, New Mexico, he was the son of the late James Victor and Ruth Gaume Boyd.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary J. Rogers of Jefferson and Barbara A. Wratten and husband Mark of Walkersville. Grandchildren, Joshua C. and Alicia A. Rogers. Stepson David Menicosy and wife Kiki of Beaverton, Oregon and Stepdaughter Diane Menicosy of Keizer, Oregon. Sister Nancy Hall and husband Kenneth of Las Cruces, NM and Brother Jim Boyd of New York, NY.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday January 5, 2011, at St. PaulLutheranChurch, 3864 Jefferson Pike, Jefferson, Maryland21755. The Reverend Katrina Holland will officiate.
Graveside services with Full Military Honors will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday January 6, 2011 at ArlingtonNationalCemetery. Those desiring to attend should assemble at the cemetery administration building by 12:30pm
