It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt remembrance that we announce the passing of Ludivina Rivero Wiles. Affectionately known as Ludy, Divina, or Evy, born April 14, 1956, in Ilagan, Philippines, she went home to be with the Lord on April 25, 2026. Her journey through life was marked by her warm smile, deep faith, love, and devotion to those around her.
Ludivina’s radiant spirit was beautifully reflected in her love for nature’s splendor as she found profound joy in scenic views and had a particular fondness for trees, plants, and flowers. A devoted Baptist, she actively supported several churches throughout the Philippines, dedicating time and heart to mission work that echoed her commitment to service.
Her passion for travel allowed her to stay deeply connected to her beloved homeland where she cherished time spent among family and friends. An accomplished and caring individual, Ludivina expressed her warmth through cooking and entertaining, delighting those around her with her culinary gifts. She was also known for her professional cake baking, and she shared her entrepreneurial spirit as a Mary Kay consultant. Before retiring, she contributed her skills and kindness as the Director of Administration at Legacy Financial Associates in Rockville, Maryland.
Ludivina’s departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family and friends. She is survived by her beloved husband, Dean E. Wiles of Gaithersburg, Maryland, who stood by her side in life’s journey. Her legacy continues through her cherished son, Christopher D. Wiles Sr., his wife Yuri, and their children--granddaughter Isabella and grandson Christopher Jr., all of Mount Airy, Maryland.
Though Ludivina’s parents, Felino Manligod Rivero and Federica Bulan Cabangan, have passed on, their memory lives strongly in her spirit. She was one of seven siblings, having lost her brother Edilberto C. Rivero and sister Lourdes C. Rivero. Surviving siblings are Bonifacio C. Rivero, Samuel C. Rivero, Artemio C. Rivero, and Rosalinda C. Rivero, all residing in the Philippines. She will also be missed by countless other relatives in the Philippines.
Her extended family includes: her parents-in-law, Harlen L. Wiles and Shirley A. Wiles, both of whom predeceased her, but loved her dearly. She also has brother and sister in-laws who will cherish her memory: Douglas E. Wiles and wife Sherree R. Wiles; Debora E. Easterday and husband Donald H. Easterday; Donna E. Heinzl, all of Thurmont, Maryland; Leslie Heinzl of Fort Myers, Florida; Don E. Wiles and his wife Sharon of Inwood, West Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.
Ludivina lived a life rich in care, faith, and generosity. Her gentle presence touched all who knew her, leaving an enduring imprint of love and kindness. As we say goodbye, we hold close to the treasured moments she gifted us, finding comfort in the endless bloom of her spirit. She will forever remain in our hearts.
The community will gather to honor and celebrate Ludivina’s life on April 30, 2026, with visitation starting at 11:00 AM at Stauffer’s Funeral Home located at 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Maryland 21702.
