Luke A. Spiros, 82, of Mount Airy, passed from this life on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Atlee Hill in Westminster, MD. He was the husband of Carole C. Spiros his wife of 52 years.

Born on July 8, 1943, in Cambridge, MA, he was the son of the late Alexander Spiros and Aglaia Sarantos Spiros.

He was a graduate of Boston University.

Luke was a member of the United States Marine Corps and a member of United States Marine Band for 23 years. He taught music was a ham radio operator and world renowned euphonium performer. Luke was a member of the Frederick Ham Radio Club as well as the Frederick Spires Band.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sisters: Jane and DeeDee as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Mickey.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 403 S. Main Street in Mount Airy, MD where a celebration of Luke's life will begin at 11:00. Rev. Greg Quintrell will officiate. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
