Margaret Itnyre

Margaret L. "Peg" Itnyre, 92, of Williamsport, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Homewood at Williamsport.

Born on October 17, 1932, in Keedysville, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Harold William and Frances Ruth (Hutzell) Sigler. She was married to the late Nelson E. Itnyre for 66 years at the time of his passing.

Peg was a graduate of Boonsboro High School Class of 1951 in Boonsboro where she met her husband, Nelson, in 9th grade.

She was employed with AT&T for 25 years. Peg was a member of the Boonsboro Bible Church where she was baptized.

Peg enjoyed roller skating nearly every week, she loved bringing groups of kids to skate. She also loved vacationing at Wildwood, NJ every summer for 55 years.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Kelly M. Crissman and husband, Wayne, Stacey M. McCrady and husband, Travis, Shannon N. Brown and husband, Dugald, Kristy L. Edwards and husband, Jesse; grandson, Kyle W. Bittner; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Ellen Bittner; and her sister, Wilma Jean Keadle.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Rev. Tim May will officiate. Burial will be at Boonsboro Cemetery in Boonsboro.
