Ms. Margaret Opoku-Agyemang
February 4, 1947 – March 5, 2026
“A devoted mother and grandmother whose faith, love, and quiet strength left a lasting imprint on every life she touched.”
Ms. Margaret Opoku-Agyemang, age 79, peacefully entered eternal rest on March 5, 2026.
Margaret was born on February 4, 1947, in Ghana to her mother, Felicia Dansoaa. She later lived for many years in Ghana’s capital city, Accra, before relocating to the United States in March 2002, where she continued to build a life rooted in family, faith, and community.
Margaret was known for her warmth, generosity, and deep love for family and community. A devoted mother, grandmother, and guiding presence, she nurtured and uplifted many lives with her kindness, wisdom, and quiet strength. She was also a mother figure to many beyond her immediate family.
She is survived by her beloved children, Richard A. Ofori, Nana K. Yeboah Osafo-Mensah, Maame Serwah Osafo-Mensah, Abena A. Osafo-Mensah, and Nana Amma Fosua Osafo-Mensah.
She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Jacob Osafo-Mensah, Alexa Osafo-Mensah, Isaiah Osafo-Mensah, Maame Yaa Ofori, and Jesse Terrence Boateng Bannor, as well as in-laws, extended family, and many friends and loved ones whose lives were enriched by her presence.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
Margaret’s race has now been completed. She rests in the eternal peace of the Lord, embraced by the everlasting love of God.
Though she is no longer with us in body, the legacy of her love, kindness, and faith will continue to live on through the family she raised and the many lives she touched.
Rest well, Maame. Your love remains with us always.
Da Yie, Maame — until we meet again.
