Margaret Pearl (Shifler) Rudy, 91, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village in Boonsboro.
Born on September 5, 1921, in Broad Run, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Earl M. and Pearl V. (Jones) Shifler. Her husband, Emory E. Rudy, preceded her in death in 1989. She was also preceded in death by her son, Emory E. "Jr." Rudy in 2006.
Margaret was a 1940 graduate from Hagerstown High School.
She is survived by two sisters, Helen Cianelli of Boonsboro and Janice Rice of Hagerstown; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Rev. Don R. Stevenson will officiate. Her final resting place ceremony will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 a.m. on the day of the service at the funeral home.
