Mrs. Marie Krikavova Toerien, 90, of Rocky Ridge, died peacefully at her home with her family on Thursday, August 30, 2007.
Marie came to the United States alone after WWII from her native Czechoslovakia. She had a PhD in languages and spoke seven fluently. She worked at the United Nations until her retirement as Deputy Director of the U.N. Library.
Marie is survived by her daughter Janna Bakhramov and husband Marat of Rocky Ridge.
