Marjorie Ingram Holland (Marjorie Lee Ingram)

October 6, 1937 – August 10th, 2025

Marjorie Ingram Holland, affectionately known as Margie, passed away peacefully on August 10th, 2025 at the age of 87 in Woodbine, Maryland, where she had resided since 2024. For the 46 years prior, she lived in Davidsonville, Maryland, where she and her husband built a life together and raised their family. Born in Danville, Virginia on October 6th, 1937, Margie was the youngest and last surviving child of Homer Lee Ingram and Manie Estelle Ingram (Dix). She was preceded in death by her seven brothers and sisters: Genevia, Randolph, Lester, Clarence (Perry), Donald, Willard, and Anne (Barbara).

She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Nick Holland of Woodbine, MD; her son, Chris Holland of Mulberry, Florida; her beloved granddaughter, Cheyenne Holland of Flat Top, West Virginia; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members who cherished her deeply.

She was a hardworking, dedicated woman who welcomed everyone into her home. Over the years she enjoyed hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for family and close friends, her door was always open, and her heart even more so. A graduate of Dan River High School’s Class of 1955, Margie began her career as a switchboard operator for the local phone company. She later became a licensed real estate agent before spending more than 15 years as a commercial property manager, a role she excelled in until her retirement. She was known and praised for her tireless dedication to those who employed her.

Margie will be remembered for her warmth, quick wit, unwavering love for her family, and her ability to make any gathering brighter. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew her. While her absence will be deeply felt, we find comfort in knowing she has been welcomed into the arms of the Lord, reunited with those who went before her, and is at peace in her eternal home.

A funeral service for all family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd, Mt. Airy, Maryland 21772. Guests will be received from 10:00am to 11:00am, with service from 11:00am – 12:00pm, followed by a private graveside ceremony for immediate family at Oak Grove Cemetery, Glenwood, Maryland.
