Mark J. Malane

Mr. Mark J. Malane, 44, of Mt. Airy died on Saturday, December 23, at Northwest Hospital Center, Randallstown. He was the husband of Elizabeth Fortin Malane his wife of 15 years.

Born on February 8, 1962 in Biloxi, Mississippi. He was a CPA and financial consultant, working as the CFO of a number of companies over the years during their start up phase. Mr. Malane was a member of AICPA and a mentor at the Smith Business School.

He coached basketball and baseball for MAYAA. Mark was an avid golfer and Washington Redskins fan.

Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 children: Logan Malane and Cassie Malane both at home; a grandfather, Francis Malane and wife Pearl of St. Clair, MI; a sister, Ann Malane of Aberdeen and an aunt, Joan Sprouse and husband Jim of Bethesda. Mr. Malane was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ruth Zimmer Malane. Mark will also be remembered by many other family and friends.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Thursday, December 28, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd. in Mt. Airy.

Services: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 29, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 16151 Old Frederick Rd., Mt. Airy with Rev. Roger Rinker officiating.
Interment will be private.
