Martha Lynne Brognard

Martha Lynne Brognard, 56, of Frederick, MD, passed away on Wednesday, September 9th, 2026, at Kline Hospice House in Mount Airy, MD. Born on December 8, 1969, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of John and Donna Brognard.

Martha graduated from Middletown High School, then received her bachelor’s degree from George Mason University in 1991, and her master’s degree from Towson University in 1995. She went on to retire from the ATF after working for 31 years as a Special Agent achieving the role of Division Operations Officer and eventually becoming a Branch Chief, highlighting her distinguished career as a federal agent.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Martha loved the great outdoors and enjoyed skiing and hiking, but her true passion was travel. Among her most memorable adventures was a journey to Mont Blanc in Chamonix, France. Captivated by the beauty of the alpine landscape, she would often say, “I left my heart on Mont Blanc.” Another unforgettable adventure took her to Pamplona, Spain, in 1997, where she ran with the bulls during the Festival of San Fermín.

Martha was a faithful member of Brook Hill United Methodist Church. She will be remembered as someone who loved her family and friends deeply.

She is survived by her father, John Brognard; Sr., Brother, John Brognard, Jr.; Nephews, Liam and Finn Brognard; and her Aunt Dolores and Uncle Dicky Weddle. Martha was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Arlene Pryor Brognard.

A celebration of Martha's life journey will take place on Thursday November 5th at 2pm, at Stauffer Funeral Home in Frederick, MD on Opossumtown pike.
