Martha M. (Stitely) Keeney

Mrs. Martha M. ( Stitely ) Keeney, 86, of Frederick, died on Friday, January 5, 2007 at Northampton Manor Health Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Keeney in 1979. Born on March 5, 1920 in Woodsboro, she was a daughter of the late Orville and Elsie ( Fogle ) Stitely. Mrs. Keeney was a member of Grace Rocky Hill Lutheran Church, Woodsboro, where she was a very active member of the Willing Workers and numerous other church activities. Mrs. Keeney retired from the Frederick County School System after 22 years of service. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 347, Frederick.

Surviving are one daughter, Geraldine Cutler and husband Richard of Baltimore; two grandchildren; Beth Tracey and husband Wayne, Richard Cutler, Jr. and wife Mary; two great-grandchildren, Justin Noppenberger and Lauren Cutler, all of Baltimore; two sisters, Patsy Stitely of Walkersville and Delores Hossler of Frederick; and a daughter-in-law Linda Keeney of California.

Mrs. Keeney was preceded in death by her son Wayne Keeney; two sisters, Naomi Frock and Rosie Cecil; and four brothers, Donald, Charles, Kenneth and Richard Stitely.

Visitation: The Family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Maryland, on Tuesday, January 9, from 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM.

Services: Services will be held on Wednesday, January 10, at 2:00 PM at the Grace Rocky Hill Lutheran Church, Coppermine Rd., Woodsboro, Maryland. Interment in the church cemetery.
