Marvin John Regner died peacefully in the company of his family on April 23, 2026 after a long battle with cancer. He touched many people around the world during his 85 years. He is survived by his wife Mary, his children Laura Fricker, Jeffrey Regner, and Nadine Otterman and seven grandchildren Rebecca, Jil, Anna, Keenan, Michael, Helen, and Stephen.
Marvin was born in a log cabin in Phillips, Wisconsin on July 30, 1940. He served in the United States Air Force and received an honorable discharge with the rank of Captain. He flew over Asia as a navigator on C-130 and C-141 aircraft during the Vietnam War.
He was a graduate of Colorado State University and worked on heavy construction projects around the world for Bechtel including in India, Georgia, Iraq, China, Trinidad and across the United States.
He enjoyed dancing with his bride of more than 60 years and spending time with his friends and family.
He will be remembered at a Mass at St. Katherine Drexel at 11:00 a.m. on May 8, 2026.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church or the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
