Mary Jane Sirbaugh, 85, of Sharpsburg, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home in Boonsboro.

Born on April 3, 1941, in Sharpsburg, she was the daughter of the late Hazel M. (Griffith) and Allen G. Leatherman, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. Sirbaugh.

Jane attended Boonsboro High School. She retired from Roxbury Correctional Institution as a Correctional Dietary Officer.

Jane enjoyed her family, cooking and tending to her garden.

She is missed by her daughter, Tammy Nave Ripple and husband, Tommy, of Martinsburg; grandson, James M. Nave, of Sharpsburg; and granddaughter, BobbiJo M. Hornbaker and husband, Matt, of Dargan; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy J. Smith, and Sharon A. Coulter and husband, Donald, all of Hagerstown and Bette L. Dewease of Shepherdstown, WV. She is also survived by the father of her children, John L. Nave, of Romney, WV; and her special friend, Elvin Brining, of Sharpsburg.

Jane was preceded in death by her children, Robert T. "Bobby" Nave, Twana S. Brown and Joseph S. Nave; grandchildren, John T. Nave and Bryan S. "Bud" Nave; and her brothers, Allen G. Leatherman, Jr. and Rodney L. Leatherman.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Mountain View Cemetery in Sharpsburg with Rev. Regina Beard officiating.

The family wishes to thank Faith Bare, Tara Delauney and the nursing staff at Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home.

Jane was deeply loved by her family and friends for her outgoing personality and her sense of humor.
