Mary Mariani

Mrs. Mary Ellen Mariani, 90, of Frederick died peacefully Friday, May 15, 2020 at Citizens Care and Rehab Center. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Mariani, who predeceased her in 1988.
Born September 6, 1929 in the Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Helen (Dowd) Palmeri.
Upon moving to Frederick 20 years ago, she volunteered at Frederick Memorial Hospital delivering flowers to patients, as well as with the local library. Additionally, she enjoyed knitting, bowling and bingo.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Mary Ellen is survived by three children, Jeff Mariani (Ann), MaryEllen Gluck, and Debra Mariani; seven grandchildren, Richard, Jennifer, Kurt, Robert, Jeannine, Randy, and John; and six great-grandchildren, Jake, Ryan, Max, Josh, Kaitlin and Luke.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Jeanne Murray in 2006.
A private graveside service will be held for her family.
