Mason A. Figueroa, at age 21, was taken from us far too soon on August 10, 2025, in Boonsboro, Maryland, as a result of an auto accident. Born on June 13, 2004, in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, Mason's spirit left an undeniable mark on all those fortunate enough to have known him.
A graduate of Washington County Technical High School, Mason excelled in the automotive technician program, demonstrating his passion for working on cars. His hands were always busy, whether he was repairing vehicles or embracing his love for the great outdoors, which included taking care of animals, fishing and camping with his beloved family. Mason’s zest for life was infectious; he had a remarkable ability to meet new people wherever he went, bringing joy and kindness to everyone he encountered. He touched so many lives, leaving behind an everlasting imprint for years to come.
Mason had a big heart and genuinely enjoyed spending quality time with his family. From attending tractor pulls to sharing tales around the campfire and gaming he created precious memories that will forever be cherished. Loyalty was important to Mason along with the needs of others.
Left to treasure his memory are his loving parents, Heather R. (Ellis) and Ramiro Figueroa, along with his siblings, Madison, Darren, and Aaron. He is also survived by his beloved grandparents, Bonnie Ellis of Sharpsburg (late, Tim) and Rosie Thomas, who loved him immensely. Though Mason’s time with us was brief, his influence and legacy endure in the hearts of those who loved him.
A prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025 in the hall of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 17626 Bakersville Road, Boonsboro, MD with inurnment to follow at the church cemetery. A time of fellowship will follow the prayer service.
