On Monday, January 19, 2009, of Monrovia, MD; 20 year teacher at Maryvale Elementary School, Rockville; beloved wife of the late Frederick M. Downey; mother of Frederick M. Downey and wife Claudia of Fairfax, George K. Downey and wife Judy Miller of Cabin John, Vera Viehmann of Monrovia; grandmother of Dawn Harvey, Kelly Emery, Bryce Downey, Kristina Talley and Alex Viehmann; great grandmother of Peyton, Ryan, Sean, Brandon, Luke and Ian.
Visitation: Friends will be received from 6-9 PM on Thursday, January 22, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy.
Services: Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 24, at Greensboro Presbyterian Church, Greensboro, PA. Interment, Greene County Memorial Park, Jefferson, PA.
