Michael C. Bailey

December 27, 1970 — October 5, 2025

Boonsboro

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Charles Bailey, age 54, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend who left us far too soon on Sunday, October 5, 2025.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, MD. The family will receive friends immediately following services. Stories will be shared, laughter encouraged and casual attire - just as he would have wanted.

Born on December 27, 1970, Mike brought joy, laughter, and light to every life he touched. He grew up in Damascus and then moved to Frederick, MD his senior year of high school, where he attended vocational school to become a machinist. He worked at New London Precision Instruments for 34 years.

He was the heart of his home - known for his humor, his steady presence, and a goofy joke always at the ready. He had an uncanny ability to make people smile - even on the most difficult days. His love of life was infectious, and his kind heart had no limits.

Mike was a devoted husband to Amanda, with whom he shared 21 wonderful years of marriage filled with laughter, love and plenty of inside jokes. Together they built a life rich in love and warmth. As a father, he was unmatched - silly when he needed to be, serious when it mattered, and endlessly proud of his children, Mikayla and Bryson. His children were his greatest joy, and he made certain they knew it every single day. Whether he was dancing in the kitchen, telling his crazy jokes, caring for our dogs, or lending a hand without being asked, Mike lived his life with a big heart and open arms. He believed in kindness, in doing the right thing, and in never taking life too seriously.

He coached his son’s soccer team when he was younger and never missed a moment of his children’s sporting events. Watching them play brought him genuine happiness and pride, and his encouraging spirit will forever be with them. Summers were his favorite time of year spent cooking, relaxing and making memories with his family at his parent’s home. He especially enjoyed vacations at Capon Springs, Outer Banks and Myrtle Beach.

Mike is survived by his wife, Amanda; his children, Mikayla and Bryson; his siblings, Chris Bailey (Heather), Patrick Bailey (Ashley), Peter Bailey (Rebecca Daniels), Lauren Hill (Brad); his nieces, Samantha, Marin and London; his nephew, Clark; and a wide circle of friends who will miss him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ann Bailey.

His memory will live on in every laugh, every goofy moment, and every act of quiet kindness.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you do something kind for someone today. Make each other laugh, tell a joke, and hug a loved one. Live like Mike did - wholeheartedly and with love.

He was one of the good ones. He will be missed beyond words.
