Michael Bushnell

Michael Roy Bushnell, 63, of Frederick, Maryland, passed unexpectedly on September 20, 2026. The silver lining is that he is now at peace with his wife Robin, who died in 2022.

Born on August 23, 1963, he was a lifelong resident of Maryland. He was an employee of Frederick County Public Schools for decades as a custodian at Walkersville High School and just retired 6 months ago.

Mike had a passion for Volkswagen's  "VW’s" and mopeds. Over his lifetime he had restored many of them including his prized possession; his 1969 VW Bug.

He is survived by his son, Robert Bushnell, of Smithsburg MD, and his granddaughter, Madilyn Bushnell, of Middletown, MD

The family will receive friends from 12:00  to 1:00 pm  on Thursday, October 15, 2026 , at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike Frederick, MD 21702. A celebration of Michael's life journey will take place at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

Interment will be private for the family. Michael's final place of rest will be at the Harmony Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Myersville, MD.
