Michael Sheldon McClenning, 33, of Brunswick, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
Born on August 29, 1992, Michael was a true small-town boy at heart. He was known for his stubborn determination, strong work ethic, and deep commitment to providing for his family. He worked tirelessly and took pride in making sure those he loved were cared for.
After graduating from Brunswick High School in 2011, Michael served in the United States Air Force for 11 years.
Michael shared his life with his wife, Dasia, and together they built a family rooted in love and devotion to their children, Miley and Rory. Being a father was Michael’s greatest pride. His daughter, Miley, and his son, Rory, were his world, and he loved them fiercely. The life they created together as a family meant everything to him.
He was also a devoted son. Michael shared a close and special bond with his mother, Angie. A true “momma’s boy” at heart, he loved her deeply, and their connection was one of loyalty, comfort, and unwavering love.
Michael found peace and joy outdoors. He loved fishing for smallmouth bass on the Potomac River, racing his GasGas dirt bike, and snowboarding fresh powder in Colorado. Whether on the river, the trail, or the mountain, he felt most alive in wide open spaces.
He is survived by his beloved children, Miley and Rory; his wife, D’Asia; his mother, Angie; his father, Scott; and his siblings, Chrissie, Thailer, Nick, Branden and Jennifer; his grandfather, Mike; and his grandmother, Cathy. He also leaves behind extended family, lifelong friends, and the Brunswick community that shaped him.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick. Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Tim May will officiate. A repast to follow at 3 p.m. at an undisclosed location.
Michael was deeply loved as a son, brother, husband, and father, and his absence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him most.
